Energy Level = Very Low
Where is my motivation today? There isn’t much gas in the engine today and I am thinking it has to do with the fact that until 3 weeks ago I was cycling 100+ miles a week and the cold weather, lack of daylight and out of town plans has recently cut my total to 0 miles per week. I plan to start a winter exercise routine tomorrow and hopefully that will help my energy level back up to par.
Magazines Try To Make You Feel Poor
I was recently flipping through a bunch of mens/womens/fashion magazines (research for work) and couldn’t help but notice the great fashion advice the magazines give. Along with fashion advice they show off tons of great clothing, most of which the average person couldn’t dream of affording. Why do they do this? Is the goal to make you feel poor? The article that I read last night that prompted this post showed off a white button down that cost $600. Yes, $600 bucks! They then covered it up with a sweater that cost an additional $400! I won’t even tell you how much the suit costs that went with the outfit. Now back to the white button down. Why in the world would anyone pay that much? If you do, you should stop and realize that your white button down is not what people are noticing about your outfit.
Yesterday I purchased a white button down from TJ Max for $12.99 (reg price $39) and I guarantee you that if I had a suit on, you wouldn’t be able to tell a difference in my shirt and the $600. Females are much better at pulling off discount clothing than men (more options) but it is a practice that will save you a lot of money on essential items.

Sweater Vests Are In
I know you have seen them in stores and are have wanted to purchase one but just wern't sure if they were "in" or not. Sweater Vests' are definately in at the moment. If you wear it over a long sleeve button-up make sure you don't button the top button. Also make sure your pants aren't to dressy for the sweater. I am a much bigger fan of this look than the long sleeve sweater option!!Online Dating = Having Sex Faster

Now while this may be true don't think you can just hop online and get some quick action. I have to imagine these stats are accurate and the reason is probably because when people meet online there typically tends to be an extended period of time that the individuals exchange emails/talk on the phone. By the time the first date comes around they are very well acquainted.
If you have never done online dating you should swallow your pride and give it a shot. Just think, if you are a guy you won't have to buy anyone a beer to start a conversation and no matter your sex... you won't smell like an ashtray when you are done!

What Britney Spears Spends $737,000 Per Month On
Can you imagine spending $737,000 per month? How about $4,700 on eating out? The breakdown on her monthly financial status is below (from the AP).
"Court papers released Thursday in Britney Spears' custody dispute with Kevin Federline show she spends lavishly on clothes and entertainment, and doesn't save or invest any of her roughly $737,000 monthly income.
Spears' monthly expenses include $49,267 in mortgage for two houses, $16,000 for clothes and $102,000 on entertainment, gifts and vacation, according to her financial declaration.
Although she's often photographed eating fast food, Spears declares she spends about $4,758 per month dining out. Meanwhile, she spends zero on education, savings and investments and gives $500 a month in charitable contributions, the documents said."
She spends more in three days than I make in one year.

My New Part Time Job
I like to shop. No. I like to shop a lot and it's something I've not been able to do much of lately due to the lack of funds. Along with paying bills I also have an additional fund (high priority for me) that I put money into each month (or try to) and there is typically not much left over for me to shop. In order to fix this I've taken a job with a retailer in my hometown of Greensboro, NC. This is a major chain and they have clothes that are appropriate for both business and casual dress. So in addition to making a little extra money I am also getting a nice discount (30 – 50%) on the clothing that I buy from this store.
Last night was my first night as a “sales associate” and I actually enjoyed the experience. I love to talk to people and this pt job will allow me to do just that. It will also allow me to hopefully prevent a few fashion nightmares here and there. I already knew this but last nights experience really confirmed my thought that women do not know how to wear pants. Well, that isn’t completely true. The younger demo (18 – 30) understands what works and what doesn’t work for their body… but a lot of women over 30 are clueless. If your ass looks bad in them, don’t buy them! So many people fall into the trap of purchasing jeans from the store that they frequent the most because they feel brand loyal and that is a huge mistake. There are tons of jeans made by various companies that I like… but I know there are really only two brands that work for me and that is what I stick with.
Is it hard for a successful “business person” to suck it up and accept that taking a pt job is necessary? Absolutely. I have wrestled with the idea for several months and it was a very tough decision, mainly because I knew it was going to take away from the time that L and I get to spend together. It’s funny how people react when they find out I have taken a pt job. They look completely shocked and for a moment there is this funny look on there face and you can tell they are not quite sure how to react but I just roll with it.
Last but not least, there is something nice about working with a customer that is trying to make a clothing purchase but they just can’t make a decision. You have been in that situation right? You have an item and you just can’t figure out if it works for you or if the color works with your skin tone. I tend to tell people what I really think (politely) even if it means they don’t purchase an item… and I think that goes a long way with customers. Don’t you hate the people that only try to get you to purchase something so they can meet a quota?
Remember the “ass rule” ladies.
